Hi, I am helping a client with their website eeinc.biz. Another developer started the site and then left abruptly. On this site you have to click through all of the Sub-Categories. I have build other Woo Commerce sites and the products all show under the parent category’s. I can’t seem to get this site to do the same. I have the setting checked to Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

  • It’s difficult to provide a specific recommendation for a server to run a virtual store with 1 thousand simultaneous accesses, as the specific requirements will depend on the size and complexity of your store, as well as the performance and scalability needs of your business.

Here are a few general considerations to keep in mind:

    • Memory: A server with at least 8GB of RAM is likely to be sufficient for most small to medium-sized online stores, but you may need more if you have a large number of products or expect a high volume of traffic.
    • CPU: You’ll want to make sure the server has a fast CPU to handle the processing needs of your store. A multi-core processor will be able to handle more concurrent requests than a single-core processor.
    • Storage: You’ll need sufficient storage to accommodate your products, images, and any other files associated with your store. A solid-state drive (SSD) will be faster than a traditional hard drive, but will be more expensive.
    • Scalability: It’s important to choose a server that can scale as your business grows. This may involve adding additional servers or upgrading to a more powerful server as your needs change.

As for the cost to maintain a server with that capacity, it will depend on the specific hardware and hosting options you choose. You can expect to pay anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand dollars per month, depending on your needs.

It’s generally a good idea to work with a hosting provider or a cloud provider like AWS, GCP, or Azure to set up and manage your server, as they can help you choose the right hardware and configure it for optimal performance. They can also handle the ongoing maintenance and support of the server, which can save you time and resources.

Thanks but that doesn’t answer my question at all. The products do not show under the product categories when you click on them, only the sub categories.

    Hi @cheyenne711

Can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if this works?

If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, please share with us a clear screenshot of what you see on your end so that we could address you more effectively?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Additionally, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Let us know how it goes!
