  • Hi @more-than-god

This should be possible using the HTML element for the header — https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/docs/header-elements/html/, as it supports inserting shortcodes into it. However, you won’t be able to insert PHP code, as WordPress does not allow PHP code on the front-end.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks.

    Thanks so much, html worked!

Yet I’m facing another problem with header setup, if I try to set top row as high slider and sticky main row as menu, the menu seems to snap to top too early. Is there a chance to increase max row height, so that the theme knows proper scroll distance when to turn on sticky effects? Thanks in advance.

    Hi @more-than-god

I’m really sorry, but I cannot think of what’s happening on your end. Is there a URL or screen recording that you can provide so that it can explain this better?

    Thanks!

I think I got it, the “Slide-down” and “Fade” effects for sticky functionality don’t seem to wait till the non-sticky row(s) above first sticky row fully shift out of the view, but stickifies them at fixed scroll offset 200 instead, leaving whitespace at their normal position. That’s not how I expected it behaves, but was able to achieve the behaviour by selecting the Default effect. If it was possible, I’d wish the above listed effects obey nonsticky row(s) fully disappear too.

    Hello @more-than-god

I am kindly requesting a little screen recording from your side, as I cannot replicate this issue for the life of me.

I’m on the latest code and I see no gaps when scrolling, under any circumstance.

Please get back to me with some visual reference so I can see exactly what you’re talking about. ??

    Thanks!

Here you go, the screenshot shows the basic header setup and two screen caps show how the header behaves during scrolling up the content with different effect. As shown on first cap with “Slide Down” effect, the main and bottom rows snap to top yet when the top row with slider is partially visible, leaving whitespace at their original area. Unlike the second cap with “Default” effect, snapping after the top element diasppears entirely.

May it be by design, but I expected the alternate effects should turn on at the same phase as “Default”.

Well, this is more like it @more-than-god. I would’ve never guessed that you had a big image inserted into the header row, which made your issue irreproducible.

Now, with the full story finally laid out, we’ve been able to reproduce this in house and the developers have started analysing the issue.

Once we’ve got something, we’ll get back to you.

And a pretty please P.S.: to keep things organised in the future, it would be best to keep each issue in its own thread. It’s much easier to keep track of things this way and also makes searching for others leaner. ??

    Thank you!

    Hi @more-than-god

I can confirm that this workflow will be improved with the next public release of Blocksy. ??

    Keep an eye out!

    Thanks.
