I have more then 1500 products on my Woocommerce webshop.
I am at the point to add tax in my webshop.
We have a rule in the Netherlands that if the turnover in 1 year is less than 20,000 euros, we do not have to charge VAT.
I am now above this and therefore have to calculate VAT.
The prices listed for my products may include VAT.
However, I don’t see an option to show the prices including VAT.
If I look at Tax in Woocommerce and choose this option ‘Yes, I want to enter prices including tax’, I will see lower prices in my store.
The intention is that the prices that are already there remain the same, so the prices already include VAT.
How do I choose that in Woocommerce?

  • Hi @0108daniel

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you want to add the tax to your products’ price, however, when enabling the option, Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax, you are seeing lower prices.

I replicated the scenario on my personal site, however, I am unable to reproduce the issue on my end. The price of my products remains the same even if I disable or enable this feature on my end. The only difference is that on the Cart and Checkout pages, this is added to the Total Order Cost. I have setup to have a 20% Standard Tax Rate.

Prices entered with tax: No, I will enter prices exclusive of tax

Can you please share with us a clear screenshot of the following settings below so that we could address you more effectively?

    • General Settings
    • Tax Settings
    • Tax Class (if any)

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

I’d like to understand your site properly, please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Thanks!
