Cart icon/button opens blank page on mobile only

  • I am using Astra and woocommerce – which shows the cart icon in the header. If I click on this on desktop it opens the cart page and either says the cart is empty or displays the cart.

    Performing this action on mobile however results in a blank page sliding out.

    I have already deactivated all plugin’s except Woocommerce, and the issue is still there. If I change the theme to Storefront, then the issue is gone. So this is an issue with my astra theme. I used the starter templates for the site: https://websitedemos.net/plant-store-02/

    If I open the demo site on mobile, and tap on the cart icon, it performs as it should. So I’m at a loss and hopeful you can help solve this issue.

    Does your hosting have a built-in cache feature? Just in case it’s due to that. If you are not sure, please get in touch with your hosting provider.

    Hi @bsfherman , thanks for the reply. My host uses a litespeed server, and pretty sure they have caching. However, I have logged into cpanel and flushed the Litespeed cache, and the issue still persists.

    @bsfherman its further investigation, the cart functions correctly on pages other than the Home Screen when it has an item in the cart. However, when the cart is empty, it loads the blank page with no content for the cart when clicked from all pages.

    In the theme customiser, I see an option to open the cart page on desktop, but this option is not available for mobile? Is there a hook I could use to change this behaviour for mobile?

    Thanks. I have amended that code slightly to only hide the slide out drawer on the home page – which is a workaround whilst I try to figure out why the cart slide out content does not load on the home page, but does load on all other pages.
