    Hey @ronnyskog,

Thank you for reaching out! SliceWP sets only two cookies, namely “slicewp_aff” and “slicewp_visit”.

Both are used to track and validate a referral purchase.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai

Thank you for your response. Could you provide more detail about the two cookies in question? Specifically, what information does each cookie store and how does it track the activity of site visitors? This information is important for us to include in our privacy policy and to ensure compliance with GDPR regulations. Is this possible?

    Hey @ronnyskog,

Before anything else, I want to wish you a happy new year!

As for the cookies, both cookies store a unique ID, which is an integer value. The “slicewp_aff” cookies stores the affiliate’s unique ID, while the “slicewp_visit” cookie stored the visit’s unique ID.

When an order is created by your eCommerce plugin, SliceWP checks to see if the two cookies are set. If they are, they’ll validate them against each other and reward a commission to the appropriate affiliate.

    I hope this information helps!

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai
