    That depends on how your local server is configured and where you installed WordPress. Try localhost:port/wp-admin/ or localhost:port/wordpress/wp-admin/

    That was how i was able to get on … now nothing is it okay to just reinstall my platform and start all over?

    I havent herd from any one so I uninstalled everything i installed to have a platform on my vista win pc …filezilla, ms web patform wordpress ect

    now i have tried to reinstall with xammp and am having probplems

    http apache is using port 80 in use
    http webdav 81 free
    https apache 443 in use

    mysql 3306 in use
    ftp filezilla ftp 21 in use
    admin filezilla 14147 in use

    does this help
