• I have 2 different event calendar plugins on my blog, but they’re both called “Calendar” in my dashboard sidebar. Is there any way to change the name of one of them slightly so I’m not confused as to which one is which all the time?

Well you could edit one of them, but obviously every upgrade will reset it. I’m loathed to suggest another method, as the word Calendar may be used in places where you don’t want it changed. But you could have a look at: https://quirm.net/wiki/eshop/changing-displayed-text/

Obviously wasn’t written for your plugin, but it could be easily amended.

I got it to change the name of the plugin in the “Manage Plugins” screen, but not in the actual sidebar, where it shows a small icon of a gear next to “Calendar.”

    Darn, thanks anyway.

Yeah to change the text you need to know exactly what is used in the original – so you’d have to search the plugin to find where it outputs that bit.
