WordPress 3.0.1 Upgrade and Problems

  • I recently upgraded to WordPress version 3.0.1 from version 3.0.0. As a result, I had the following problems with my blog:

    1) The background on my blog was changed from my custom background to the default WordPress background.
    2) The font of my Blog Title was changed to the default WordPress font.
    3) All of my pictures were resized to their size when they were uploaded. In other words, all the resizing I had done to my pictures to make them fit had been erased.

    My web developer told me that these things happen when updating in WordPress.
    I have a few questions:

    1) Why does this happen?
    2) What can I do to prevent this from happening in the future?
    3) Will I have to “resize” my pictures every time I update to a new version of WordPress?
