Update user when logged in (if exists)

Sorry for opening a new topic. I would like to know if it’s possible to update the user (if logged in) when submitting the register form. The register form exists from a part where you can see the user’s meta data like first name, username etc. (it’s pre-filled which is good), but there are also some input fields that they haven’t filled in yet. When submitting the form it doesn’t seem to work because I think it’s trying to create a new user while it’s already there. It would have been awesome if it updates the user with only these new input fields based on the user ID. I would prefer using Ultimate Member only instead of downloading another plugin again to create forms etc.Thanks in advance,

Let me explain it using a screenshot, hopefully that may work out as well.
At the top of the page you will see input fields that are prefilled from the user who’s logged in.
At the bottom of the page you will see input fields (marked orange) which I would like to store for that user.
Now when I press “Verzenden” the submit button nothing happens. I assume that it tries to create a whole new account which fails obviously since the user already exists.
Hopefully I explained it enough.
@missveronicatv Yes, they are all within the same UM Form (shortcode), but of the type UM Register Form, not Profile.
But I think we’re not on the same page. Those input fields in the screenshot below should not be prefilled. What I want to achieve is to let the user fill that in and submit, just like a normal form. Once that’s done, I would like to receive an email with their registration membership request. This is different from registering an account.Although, I think Ultimate Member can only support “Registration, Profile and Login” not a general form to submit data.
Use your Registration form with basic fields and give the new User a very limited user role as a Prospect without display of other Profiles etc.
Auto-approve and auto-login this Prospect user with a redirect to a Profile Edit Form like on your screenshot. User enters the additional fields and updates the Prospect Profile.
Use the “Receive email notification when user updates their form” code snippet in this guide for doing a final Registration Approval or reject by an Admin.

When the Prospect is approved change the role to Member Role with all normal user capabilities.
At User Role update to Member you can send this email template to the user.
