• Hi, we upgraded our staging site to PHP 8.0 which will be required by our host in a few weeks. After the upgrade, when we try to add a product or a post, we get the following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in?/www/xxxxxxxxxx/public/wp-includes/meta.php?on line?1189

I was able to remove the error by disabling Customizer Search. There is nothing I can do from the hosting side as we are at the highest memory limit already. Is there anything I can do to resolve this, please?

    Thank you!

  • Hi @acquamarina,

How many MB do you currently have for the Memory Limit? Also, this didn’t happen when you were still on PHP 7.4.x ?

Is it possible for you to create a screen captured video, showing us how it looks?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
