Events Calendar does NOT appear with Pagelayer plugin installed

By the way, I deliberately set up a page called Events, which is automatically taken over by the Events Calendar to display the calendar.

The same problem occurs whether or not I have this extra Events page in existence. Deleting it does not change anything. I created it just to make Events accessible in the Menu bar .

Hi @tangohel, that’s correct events and event slug are reserved for single and archive pages. It would be good to assign another slug for the Events if you’re using them for another page/post, as it may cause some issues.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention regarding PageLayer incompatibility. This is a known issue with other page builder plugins or themes as well — we still have Partial Support for FSE themes.

Just letting you know follow up info. Pagelayer has a work around, but it requires buying PageLayer Pro. Once I did that I could go to PageLayer – Theme Templates – then edit the Blog template.

Then you can add a condition, which is:

Exclude -> Archives ->?All Events Archive

Now it works as it should.

Hi @tangohel, I see. I also suspect that should be the case that their plugin has a function for this on their Pro Version. I appreciate you letting me know, and I will also take note of this.
