    Hi,

Strange, does the permalink structure also change at page Settings > Permalinks?

No change there. infact, nothing changes. When I get the –oops..– notification, the simple fix is just to resave. Ofc this is not an ideal situation as sometime i dont notice for a day or 2 :/

This is new to me. How is your permalink set on the settings page? Post name?

Is it an option for you to change back the base to “event” (= default) and see what happens?

And do you have another plugin that hooks into the permalink structure perhaps?

I have tried the default setting.
I haven’t tried the testing to see if another plugin hooks into the permalink structure. How could I test that out?

Thanks for all your support. 5 stars.

    Hi,

A permalink setting should not change all of a sudden. Do you have another plugin with a custom post type perhaps? Or a optimization plugin?

    Plugins:
    Advanced Custom Fields plugin installed.
    Autoptimise.

The only other thing I can think of is that; I tried another events plugin (guilty!) around the time VSL started playing up. I noticed they shared the same /events/ base. Could this be it and if so, how to fix? (note- this plugin is now deleted).

Don’t think the other events plugin causes this. It’s deleted so it cannot do anything anymore. Maybe a setting in the Autoptimize plugin? Or ask your hosting provider, maybe they can find out what’s happening now and then with the permalink (eror log?).

never say never, but very unlikely to be due to Autoptimize; there’s nothing in AO that “touches” permalinks .. :-/

Do you have any idea other suggestions of what it might be?

    @optimizingmatters : thanks ??

There should be something else causing this, because it also goes wrong with the default slug (event). You can test this by adding another custom post type with the Custom Post Type UI plugin. Create a new custom post type and a single post for this post type. And wait a couple of days.

    Hi,

I am now facing exactly the same issue. I am running website in two languages EN and CZ, every 1-2 days the EN pages permalinks break, but the CZ pages permalinks are ok. I have Polylang for translations, but slug is not translated by the plugin. Everytime I just save (flush) the permalinks and it is repaired, but same as @benhamdam I am not checking every hour…

I did Theme upgrade in April, few weeks after that the permalink issue started. The theme supplier says that the theme does nothing with permalinks…

Have any solution been found for this in the meantime?
