• Hi,
after downgrade from 6.1.1 to 5.9.5 and then 5.9.8 I got the following messages in the dashboard (“updates”):

Warning: Attempt to read property “current” on bool in […]/wordpress/wp-admin/update-core.php on line 41
Warning: Attempt to read property “locale” on bool in […]/wordpress/wp-admin/update-core.php on line 43

Warning: Attempt to read property “locale” on bool in […]/wordpress/wp-admin/update-core.php on line 182`

Is this because of differences in the translation file?

    EDIT:

I tried then to upgrade to version 6.1.1,
but there was an error. Supposedly that this version doesn’t exists.

But in the update dashboard section the download was possible (after the second reload and click).
But the errors above still occure again.

It’s not criticial for me, because it’s on a localhost. Just to inform you.

    Thanks for your work
    Jürgen

  • I have the same issue when downgrading to 6.03 from 6.1.1. For me they disappeared once I had inactivated WP Downgrade. Note I already had automatic updates disabled.

Update: When these issues later returned I nailed them down to an edit I had made to functions.php in my child theme. So possibly unrelated to WP Downgrade. Haven’t reactivated it though. WP Downgrade seems to be a great tool, but will downgrade on server using wp-cli instead.
