I tried Coraline at WordPress.com and liked it a lot. Now I want to install it on one of my sites but can’t find it anywhere.

It’s not in the theme directory that I can see. I’ve searched these forums and Googled everywhere else, and there’s tons about the Cutline to Coraline switch, but nowhere is it listed where I can download it.

Is it only for WordPress.com customers? If it’s not available now, will it ever be available?

    Thanks!

  • Can I refer you to the post over on WordPress.com:

    specifically the last sentence.

Well, thank you so much! I totally missed that. Guess I was looking for downloads only when I read it the first time.

You can download the individual files from here:

    https://svn.automattic.com/wpcom-themes/coraline/

And build the theme that way.

It may be better to wait for the official .org release, though; that’s a lot of files to download. ??

I too want to use Coraline – I’ve got a self-hosted blog – but still don’t see it under Appearance/Themes. Does anyone know when WordPress plans to release it for folks who are self-hosting, or if it’s already released, can someone point me in the right direction? (I don’t want to download the individual files since I agree, there are a lot of them!)

It’s not available yet. I imagine it will be soon, but I can’t really define “soon” at this point.

Thanks for the update, James. I was hoping to start creating my new blog in the next week or so, but it sounds like Coraline may not be ready by then. Hm. Maybe it’s time to look for a comparable theme.

waiting for this theme to become available through official theme directory ever since i read that blog post!
