    Strangely, the Catalan, German and English versions all have the Spanish URL as their canonical URLs. Since you’re using WPML, I created language translations of my homepage, and the canonical URLs are correct. So I think in your case, something’s not right.

    1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

    Please let us know if the reported issue remains after resetting the optimized data.

    Hello,

    I’ve followed the steps you explained, but now we have the https://blog.cerdanyaecoresort.com/ca/ as the canonical URL for the others home pages https://blog.cerdanyaecoresort.com/en/
    https://blog.cerdanyaecoresort.com/de/

    Is there anything else we could do to solve it?

    It keeps changing. I tried the steps below one more time and now I see that https://blog.cerdanyaecoresort.com is the canonical for the rest of the homepages.

    Thank you so much for your replies and troubleshooting. Sorry to hear the issue still stands.

    Are you using the WPML addon WPML SEO next to your WPML plugin(s)? Their addon makes WPML work better with Yoast SEO and might fix a few shortcomings you are running into.

    If you are already, I suggest contacting WPML support, as I’m not sure where in their settings this might be going wrong. If you haven’t set custom canonicals in the homepages in other languages, it should just have a self-referring canonical and should not point to the /ca/ URL.
