“Please enter an address to continue”

My customers are often experiencing an issue where the see the message “Please enter an address to continue”, even though the address has already been entered. They need to refresh the page and try again (some have said as many as 5 times) for it to be successful.
I have tested this myself, and sometimes get this error.
I have been in contact with PayPal and WooCommerce, and no one has been able to help.
From looking at the Support thread and reviews on this plugin, it looks like there are a lot of errors. I regret switching from PayPal Standard and Stripe.
This occurred during a Black Friday Sale, and an important product launch, and we most likely lost out on a lot of sales (from people who just gave up).
If I don’t get a solution by tomorrow, I’ll have to just go back to the Stripe and PayPal Standard (which I was told is no longer supported, but at least it worked).
