Update data after submission

    Hello,

    I’m not sure if I would need the premium version for this, but I don’t want to purchase this to try.

    I was wondering if there is a way that a registered users can update their form data after submission? For example, in the future they might need to update health details such as weight, height, and/or address.

    Also, they can’t have access to other registered users data.

    Hi @mjwpress,

    Editing form submissions is a RegistrationMagic Premium only feature. It’ll allow users to edit only their own form submissions from the frontend. They will not have access to other users’ submissions.

    Can they update just one form field entry or would they need to fill in a new form?

    Hi @mjwpress,

    They’ll be able to edit all the fields that you make editable for users from the backend. If you enable just one field for editing then only that field will be available to the user when editing submission.

    You said backend, but I don’t want the user to have access to the backend just the frontend and their form entries. So, they will be able to edit all of their entries if I make it editable. Also, I would like to clarify that making it editable only changes the entry not the form field in anyway.

    Hi @mjwpress,

    From the backend, you’ll mark a field as editable. User can only edit its value from the frontend. Editing submissions from backend is only for admins. And yes, marking a field as editable will only allow users to change its previously submitted value by them. They can’t alter the field settings in any way.
