Updating to WP 6.1.1

Hi Community

I run a WP website for a ski club, I got no idea what I am doing (well until I start doing it) but thankfully WP is such a great tool that enabled me to limp along and create a website that has been up and running for a few years now and it even got plugins and some other bells and whistles ??

I am stuck though, I have been getting these pesky e-mails from WP lately to update to WP version 6.1.1, when I go into the WP Dashboard for my website and try to run the update manually I gt the following message:

The authenticity of wordpress-6.1.1-new-bundled.zip could not be verified as no signature was found.

Unpacking the update…

Could not copy file.: wordpress/wp-includes/js/jquery/ui/effect-slide.min.js

Installation failed.

——————

Any idea how I could overcome this nuisance?
