I′ve read lots of chats, in the forum but no one make the real solution.
I′m uploading the CSV file in the impor product section for some atributes, at global section I have added 0 in all the atributes and all of them are taken as used for variations by default, how can I avoid this, the CSV file when I exported the products shows the 0 in the global atributs section it is ok, but, the option used for variations is taken as default, do I have to purchase the csv import suit to solve this? how can I change this with the csv??

NOTE: I have used google sheets, I have used the right names for the columns taken from Product CSV Import Schema https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/Product-CSV-Import-Schema
, and I have update the last versions for wordpress and woocomerce, but there is still the problem

I woul apreciate your help thanks!

  • Hi there @juandava26 ??

Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help you with this!

From what I gather, the data entered in the .CSV file need to be further edited before imported to your WooCommerce store.

I just went ahead with a sample export .CSV file, from a test installation of mine, and in the screenshot linked here, the first line corresponds to a simple product, while the second to a variable one.

Kindly note that there is a 0 (zero) only in the case of a variable product; not when the product is simple.

I trust that points you in the right direction. Please let us know if you have any further questions about this matter, or if we misinterpret your concern in any way. We will be happy to help you further.

Thanks so much Pepe, I have checked the option you suggest, but it is not working yet, when I export the csv file, the columns for the attributes are ok with o “0” for the global, and “0” for visible, but still like that the attributes are taken as “used for variations” by default.

If there is any other suggested solution I would apreciate it.

Here you can check what I′m talking about, in the next link

    image with the problem pic,

    Hi @juandava26,

when I export the csv file, the columns for the attributes are ok with o “0” for the global, and “0” for visible, but still like that the attributes are taken as “used for variations” by default.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to do that by default. When you export a csv file, the “used for variations” option is marked by default.

    Hello @juandava26!

If you want to change that, it looks like will need a custom coding.

I would recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce: https://developer.woocommerce.com/.

Additionally, the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack: https://woocommerce.com/community-slack/. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.
