Is there any way to duplicate the TOC of a certain page to be used elsewhere?

  • I have a glossary, each entry is an H2.
    I would love to use this also as a dropdown in a menu (I use max Mega Menu and Insert Pages) but with smaller font and list only the headers. Maybe a wrap as well.
    I tried copying and pasting the TOC into a new page and it didn’t work. Inspect doesn’t give me any ideas either.

    I’d like to duplicate the TOC’s dropdown, that lists all the H2 H3 etc. That section, the text and links, duplicated on another page.
    I figured out how to do it manually with a copy text and link chrome extension…. but it’s not synched so every new entry I have to enter it twice.

    Can you please let us know, Do you want toc as this opinions-index page or only dynamic link on from post page into this opinions-index page?

    The second, dynamic link. I want to keep the original page with its TOC… but i’d love for a way to duplicate it on the opinions-index page.
    There is a whole other wrinkle, and that is reformatting (the way I have it on the opinions index page, notice it’s very different, smaller font, no line breaks) )once it’s duplicated, but I’ll put that aside.
    I’m thinking manually doing it every so often is going to be the most optimal, especially BECAUSE of the reformatting.

    Yes, absolutely. The ToC content being repurposed as a menu dropdown item would definitely need different formatting or else it wouldn’t fit.
