In the Elementor Posts widget there is a “query” section where you can choose what type of content you want to display.

    For example:
    – For the Blog page: I am using the Elementor Posts widget > Query: posts
    – For the Organizers page: I am using the Elementor Posts widget > Query: Organizers

However, this query is NOT working (this is a new issue, probably related to the release of one of the latest versions of the Events Calendar).

Problem: the QUERY SOURCE that I select is completely ignored and therefore the Posts widget is showing any type of content.

    Examples:

    – for my Organizers page, even though I selected Query=Organizers, it’s not only showing the Organizers, it’s also showing the events themselves.

    – For my Blog page, even though I selected Query=Posts, it’s also displaying the events (not just my blog posts)

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ISSUE WAS FIXED AS SOON AS I DEACTIVATED THE EVENTS CALENDAR PLUGIN, SO THE ISSUE DEFINITELY COMES FROM THAT PLUGIN.

Please help, this is urgent: my website is displaying the wrong type of content on several pages because of this issue.

    Thanks

  • Hey,

I don’t know if this will help the developer, but WP Bakery has the exact same issue with the Posts grid widget.

This happened at the 6.0.2 update, I rolled back to 6.0.1.1 and it works again. Maybe you should do the same for now until the devs fix it.

    Hi @anabellafp,

    Thanks for reaching out.

This issue was already resolved on our latest update (6.0.4). Before updating your live site with the latest version, please test it first on a Staging Server.

And on your blog page, if the event is still showing, please ensure that “Include events in main blog loop” is unchecked from Events > Settings > General.

Please let me know if you have further concerns.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I was able to fix the issue by unchecking “Include events in main blog loop”
