• Tonight, all of a sudden, my wp content is basically all gone. My site looks normal but if you click internal links there is no content. No coments, no pages and only a few posts. Archives show like they should, but if you click to go to the archive there is no posts listed.

I went into my file manager on my host (i-power), and many of the files were all updated (or last modified) at the same time. I’m not sure when exactly I updated to 3.0.1 but I don’t think it was that same time. (Would upgrading necessarily make most of your files get updated like that at the same exact minute?)

I’m not sure if this is a virus or what. Any help would be appreciated. One other thing, earlier this week I noticed my site was down, I couldn’t access it, then in about 10 minutes it restored itself. That happened well after the time/date showing for my files all being updated (Aug 8, 1:25pm). But my problem of losing all the content didn’t happen until tonight. I had done nothing abnormal at all with the site and nothing at all when this happened.

    Yes.

You may need to repair the database.

Access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel), check all of the tables, and choose “Repair tables” from the pull-down menu.
