UPS no longer uses Access Key

    I was not able to retrieve an access key. They had a note on their website that reads:

    UPS has launched the new API Developer Portal with OpenAPI spec documentation, a sandbox environment, and additional features to modernize your API integrations. In the future, we will no longer be distributing access keys and all API integrations will utilize an OAuth 2.0 security model. Please visit the new developer portal to begin your API integration with UPS.

    Is there an update to use this with OAuth?

    Hi @musicforte,

    This forum is dedicated to our USPS Live Rates plugin and your question refers to the UPS Live Rates one.

    Nevertheless, We are currently working on implementing the OAuth for our UPS plugin. However, you still should be able to obtain the access key using the standard way via:

    https://www.ups.com/upsdeveloperkit?loc=en_US

    Please change the bolded location code to the one which suits your case. The aforementioned location needs to fit your UPS account details.

    Then, there is one additional step which needs to be taken in order to obtain the accesss key. While requesting it, please choose the following options:

    I need an access key because *: I was informed by a software vendor…

    Software/Vendor name *: Octolize

    Choose an account to associate with the access key. *: Choose the option which suits your case.

    If you want to use the access key with the already existing UPS account, link it by providing its Account Number. Please mind that it has to have the payment details filled in.

    Following the instruction above, you should be positively verified and get the requested access key.
