After Updating to 4.1.6 XML Error | Sitemap not available

    Hello,

    after Updating to Google XML Sitemaps 4.1.6 the sitemap.xml is not longer available.

    XML-Verarbeitungsfehler: XML- oder Text-Deklaration nicht am Beginn der Entit?t
Adresse: https://domain123.de/sitemap.xml
Zeile Nr. 2, Spalte 1:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><?xml-stylesheet type='text/xsl' href='https://domain123.de/wp-content/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/sitemap.xsl'?><!-- sitemap-generator-url='https://www.arnebrachhold.de' sitemap-generator-version='4.1.6' -->

    How can it be fixed, i will try to downgrade to 4.1.5 again.

  • @cecke123 We just noticed that there is a blank line, a whitespace in your newly generated sitemap XML. If you can please check your wp-config.php, index.php file or functions.php file, as there must be a blank line added by mistake before <?php tag or after ?> which is causing the issue. You can keep using the 4.1.6 version and let us know if any other feedback. Thanks

    i found 2 blank lines in the functions.php of the Theme, afer the “?>” – Tag. Now Sitemap works! ??
