[WP Super Cache] Preload restart + preload speed

  • Installed WP Super Cache and my site is running must faster now.

    But my site is big (close to 30K pages), so have two questions I can’t find an answer to anywhere:

    1) My site is running on a nice VPS, so is it possible to adjust the preload speed? i.e. how many pages WP Super Cache preload per minute or similar.

    2) Earlier today the Contents tab said I had a bit more than 8K pages cached, but now, a few hours later, only 3K pages are reported as cached. Aka. it looks like the preloading have started over.

    Why is that/what can be done about that? (I have 0 expired pages according to the Contents tab and my preload expiry time is set to 43200 seconds).
