• Scheduled posts on the sub-blogs of my multi-site installation publish fine on their own blogs, but aren’t showing up on the main blog (using sitewide tags to pull them up). If I go in and manually republish (changing the publish time), they show up. This was working a few weeks ago, and was working fine in my old MU installation. I’ve tried everything to get this to work, to no avail. Any ideas?

  • When they hit the main blog, are they still showing as scheduled? What does the status of the post say?

    They’re not hitting the main blog until I manually republish them. I’m currently having them literally post to the main blog — just pull them to the main page by category. I tried having them post to the main blog, and that didn’t work either. Scheduled posts show up on their own blog, but not on the main page until I manually republish.

    I’m wondering if it’s the scheduled part that throws it off.

    If you post on a sub-blog right away, does it show up on the main blog right away? (it should)

    yes. it does appear to be the scheduled part that’s the problem. but here’s the thing — it was working, maybe up until 3.01? i’m not sure. but it was working in the beginning, and of course wpmu worked fine.

    Now here’s a good one. This morning, it worked perfectly. Let’s see what happens with Sunday morning’s post.

    Hi andrea, I am facing the same problem for my site. I sheduled some posts to publish on next day. but It warned me as <b>Missed schedule</b> after the next day.

    And what have you tried?

    Add this line to wp-config.php file, then it will work fine.

    define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true);

    I have read one article in wordpress blogs, and I added to my config file, it worked perfectly fine with my multi site.
    In his discussion I learned there is nothing to do with word press, some times web server doesn’t load the wp-cron.php file contents, so if you keep the above line in config file it worked fine. and also published my previously missed schedule posts automatically
