    Hi,
I noticed something, it might be a bug or something I don’t understand: I moved the comments.php file to the /inc folder in the child theme to be comments.php only. Mission News Child: comments.php (inc/comments.php) So there is only one file in the folder.

But I noticed that the file in the parent theme still works. What would you recommend for this?

WordPress requires the comments.php file to be in the root of the theme folder, so you’ll have to move it back there. What’s happening now is that it’s checking your child theme for comments.php, and it doesn’t see it, so it reverts to the parent theme’s comments.php file instead.

Strange. Then I will need to save the customizations in that part separately for the updates.

    Thanks.
