  • Hello @johocen168 ,

Once you’ve set up a WooCommerce store on your site, created some products, then enabled WooCommerce in Web Stories settings, you should see a shopping icon in the Insert panel and your products should be populated in the dropdown.

Can you share if you see this on your end?

    Hi @luckynasan ,

Thanks for your quick response, it looks good when I saw the “shop now” appeared in page 8 in the editor, but don’t know why it is not showing after publishing.

    Please see the screenshot below…

Then the published link with password (story4test) protected…

@johocen168 Thanks for the information. I can also not see the shop now link on the live published Story. Could you please share your Site Health Information with us using this private form. With this I can check your setup to see if anything stands out.

    Hi @adamdunnage

The form is summited, thanks for your help.

@johocen168 Thank you for submitting the form. I can see that you do have several plugins active on your site which could be causing a conflict. If possible, I’d advise temporarily disabling each plugin one by one whilst checking your Story in an incognito browsing window. This will highlight if there is a plugin conflict causing this.

Please let me know how this goes and if you don’t find anything we can continue to troubleshoot this with you.

    Hi @adamdunnage ,

I uesed FREESOUL DEACTIVATE PLUGINS to disable all other plugins except Web Story and WooCommerce, meanwhile, change theme to 2020, but still can not see “shop now” on page 8 (see screenshot)

@johocen168 After some further investigation this looks like it could be related to the Spectra plugin. Could you just try to manually deactivate that plugin and let me know if you notice any difference? It looks like it is affecting the shopping configuration.

While you try this we will have a look on our side to see if there is something we can do here to stop this from happening.

    Hi @adamdunnage

Deactivated the Spectra plugin, but still can not see “Shop Now”

You can see the buttons are not green anymore due to Deactivating the Spectra plugin in this page… https://dahodan.johocen.com/3song/

BTW, the pause and restart icons (see screenshot below) is very useful, but how can we have it on mobile ?

    Thanks

Hi @johocen168 we have confirmed that this is a bug and been able to replicate the issue. While we work on a fix for this we do have a workaround for you:

    1. Deactivate the Spectra plugin
    2. Remove & re-add your products from the story
    3. Save your Story once more

Please feel free to follow the GitHub issue for any updates on a fix for this.

BTW, the pause and restart icons (see screenshot below) is very useful, but how can we have it on mobile ?

You can pause a Story on mobile by long pressing on the device. While holding the press on screen the Story will be paused.

    Hi @adamdunnage ,

Finally got it working after remove and re-add…it looks great!!!

I don’t know when you add the Shopping connection into the Web Story, but it will be a game changer, the interaction is much better than video.

    Question and suggestions…
    1. How can I translate the “Buy now” button and “Details”, checked using “Loco Translate” plugin, it shows Web Story is 100% translated, but can not find above 2 phrases. (see screenshot below)
    https://dahodan.johocen.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/50/2022/11/chrome_wNCgrb3ecp.png

    2. “Buy now” button…is it possible to perform as “add to cart” instead of link to product page for quick shopping?

    3. It will be great to have pause icon on the mobile same as on desktop.

    4. I remember there is a re-start icon in the previous version of Web Story, it’s quite important when we set auto for Page Advancement.

    5. Is it possbile to translate the instruction of “Tap Back” and “Tap Next”?

Thanks for your help, great product…Web Story!

@johocen168 Glad to hear that you’ve now got this working, thanks for your patience and help with this. Please see below for the answers to your questions:

    1. This is not possible, this text comes from AMP and is automatically translated depending on the viewer‘s language settings.
    2. Same as above
    3. As mentioned this can be done currently by holding on the screen. There is an AMP project GitHub issue currently open to add this which you can follow here
    4. You could just refresh the page while viewing the story for this. Otherwise you could log an AMP project GitHub request
    5. Same as points 1,2

Hope this helps to answer your questions.

    Hi @adamdunnage

    Thanks for your quick answers.

    1. I installed AMP plugin and configued In Transitional mode, checked the site language and browser (Chrome) language are all in Traditional Chinese for Taiwan, but still see “Buy now” button and “Details” instead of Chinese translation, any suggestion?
2~5. Will log on AMP project GitHub request.

    Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately this falls out of the scope of the support we can offer so I would suggest checking that with the AMP plugin support team.

    Hi @adamdunnage ,

I had posted on AMP plugin support, but got answer as below…
“Please contact Web Stories plugin support, as we are not sure how the story attachment pages are translated.”

I start using Web Story without installing the AMP plugin, it seems allright until this translation issue. Is there any problem to use Web Story without installing the AMP plugin?

    Thanks
