I was checking on our network tab when I’m logged into the site and looking at the frontend.

GSK loads a 1.2mb file on every page.

    /wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit/dist/assets/js/googlesitekit-vendor-somekindofhashthatIredactedhere.js

That seems rather undesirable. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Hi @bozzmedia thanks for getting in touch. I will certainly check in with the team about this to see if there is an optimizations that can be made. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Hi @bozzmedia,

Just looping back to you on this one to let you know that I have discussed this with the team who do have an open GitHub issue to take these sorts of files with the intention to optimize where possible.

It’s also worth noting that these files are only loaded for logged in admins to the site and not for any site visitors. Hope this helps.

Much appreciated @adamdunnage! I have since deactivated this display as it was slowing down the WP admin significantly. Hopeful for some performance enhancements in the future.
