Struggling with color in some areas

If you are using a block theme, you can change the site-wide style of your site with Global Styles in the Editor: https://cloudup.com/cWk3_vGKPWl

Here is a support page about Global Styles as well.

As far as I can tell, it’s not in the global colors. Which is why I’m looking to add it via additional CSS.

If you are using a Classic Theme you can go to Appearance > Customize and change the colour in the Customizer or add CSS.

You might be interested in using a CSS plugin as well.

It’s clearly not a classic theme. And I’m not seeing where a CSS plugin is going to help. I know where to enter the additional CSS, I just don’t know what to enter.

Here’s the CSS for the header (it’s red, but you can, of course make it any colour you like):

background-color: #ff0000;
}

And for the footer:

background-color: #ff0000;
}
