Critical Error email not being received

Hi there,
I have seen a few of these post but none of them seemed to have the solution I am after,
I received all admin emails regarding to there being a new order, cancelled order, low stock, out of stock etc, I received all of them but when I get the Critical error message appear, I do not get that email? is there a different setting somewhere that I have done wrong or missed?
Please help as i am fairly new to all of this and have no idea what is going wrong but i need to receive that particular email,Thank you for your time,
