• Hi,
Using your wonderful plugin on multiple sites, so thanks for the good work!

I just implemented the [mailpoet_archive] shortocde on a site to show a list of older newsletters on the site for people to review or link to.

This work fine, however, most of the newsletters have used the ‘automatic recent posts’ (i think, I see it in Dutch) to show the most recent posts. The problem is, when reviewing the older newsletters, they still get populated with the most recent posts, so this hardly is an ‘archive’.

Is there a workaround to show only the posts that were new at the time the newsletter was published? (I am comfortable with coding)

    Hi there @smit_ralph,

Thanks for reaching out! What you describe is certainly not expected behavior.

Double checking on my personal site, I’m not seeing the same thing though. Checking old Post Notification emails in the archive page, when I click to open them up, they contain the correct “old” posts from when they were sent, not latest/newer posts. The dates on the posts in the emails in the archive line up with the published dates of the posts on my site.

Please send over the URL to the archive page on your site, as well as indicating a few specific examples of post notification emails, and the links to the posts on the site.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Thx for your quick reply! In a way the error even seemed to make sense, but as I understand by your reply, it shouldn’t ahppen.

You will find the archive here: https://www.cooplink.nl/nieuwsbrief-archief

As you will see, the latest newsletter is dated November 6th, however it contains posts up untill November 9th (the top one). A second example is the second newsletter, from October 5th, which contains posts from November 2nd (again, the top one).

Please tell me if you need any additional info.

    thx, regards,
    Ralph
