Hyphens / Dash in Title and URL

  • Hi my title have hyphen/dash in it,
    but my url isn’t showing “that” hyphen/dash,
    it see it as space.
    is there any way to let the URL read it as hyphen/dash?

    for example
    Title: My own short-term plan
    Url generated: website.com/product/my-own-short-term-plan/

    I want the URL to contain or show the dash in the “short-term” not as a space but as a dash.

    I think generated URL looks correct: website.com/product/my-own-short-term-plan/

    You have already used a hyphen in your title, so the permalink won’t add two hyphens.

    Can you type out how you want the URL to differ from the generated one?

    Hi @west7 thanks for the reply, I appreciate it

    I just want it to read and show the additional hyphen
    since my title and focus keyword both have hyphens in it

    maybe the url show as my-own-short—term-plan ?
    *I placed 2 consecutive dash in between shortterm but it just shown as 1 here
