No login screen

My blog is self hosted on BlueHost, and has been since 2009.

Starting at the beginning, on 9/25 I was creating a post. I had already loaded one image, and farther in, I went to add an image gallery. I got an error stating:

Unable to create directory uploads/2022/09.
Is the parent directory writable on the server?

The referenced directory already existed in the wp-content directory, and had 94 files in it. I saved my draft and set it aside. I tried numerous times over the next week, and also uploaded (via FTP) the files that were supposed to go into image gallery that started this whole deal. Had to set it away as real life interfered with on-line pursuits. Tried to mess with it again a week or two later, and now I couldn’t get into the draft, because I never got a logon screen. My normal https://richz.com/fishing/blog/wp-admin/ login just gives me a blank screen. Tried going in via https://richz.com/fishing/blog/wp-login.php and that gives me an error Error: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. Oddly however, the partial page draft that I had been working on, appears now to have been published, but it’s dated 10/22. Somehow, I assume that this happened when a wordpress upgrade was installed??

And that is where I stand today, dead in the water.
