How do I restore my wordpress to default?
I have a site with a homepage that continuously defaults to a page I created a couple of weeks back, which no longer exists. I don’t know how to configure “homepage” to load quite simply to the domain, rather than redirecting to a subdomain which does not exist.

  • Do you mind sharing the website address so that we can see the issue?

Otherwise, assuming that you are running WordPress, try this:

    1. Log in to view your Administration Panels (yoursite.com/wp-admin)
    2. On the left, where you have the panels, go to Settings > General
    3. Check Site address (URL) – that it points to the correct domain that you want to load.

Hope it helps… if you provide a bit more detail, it would be easier for someone to understand your issue and solve it, if the above suggestion does not solve it.

Does it help to adjust Settings > Reading > Front page displays …?

Thanks to both of you. The above was helpful, but the settings were correct. The website is https://www.snowboardgogglesnow.com.au

Sorry, I meant the settings were correct, and still the problem occurs. Any ideas?

Try decativating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress 2.9) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0) to rule-out a theme-specific issue.
