Show only top level categories

    I’m a pretty code ignorant. I recently updated a blog from 2016 and I would life to be able to display categories as a clickable link. Either by only showing the top level category or just making them clickable with children.

    I’ve tried to figure it out myself but all I’m doing in banging my head against a brick wall at this point.

    Also how do I make it not show posts?

    I finally figured out howto make it not show posts. Only thing don’t know how to do is make the top level category a clickable link instead of opening or closing the child categories.
