• I’ve used this plugin on 50+ sites, but I’ll be working on moving away from it. It’s trying to do too much. Was already annoyed by the Site Health security headers nag, but now with the latest update it seems this plugin is trying to move into the general security plugin realm with new “hardening” recommendations. My advice? Stay in your lane. Do the few SSL related things this plugin was good at: activating https, setting redirect, fixing mixed content. That’s it. That’s all it needs to be. Keep it “simple”. I’m giving it 3-generous-stars because the plugin still does those things well. It’s everything else that makes me want to uninstall in favor of other solutions.

    Hi @ryantown,

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you don’t appreciate the newly added features.

Please know that we have developed Really Simple SSL 6.0 in a way that there is no ‘dead weight’ in using the plugin as you describe: only for it’s SSL activation and enforcement features. No redundant code will be loaded or burden your server.

Of course we hope to keep you on board as a Really Simple SSL user. Please feel free to share any further feedback or questions with us on the support forums or via email. We highly appreciate all constructive feedback.

    Kind regards,
    Leon
