    Hi,

    How come my Site Kit plugin now says “The response is not a valid JSON response” and nothing I do will fix it, not even the troubleshooting instructions helped. How do I fix this?

    Hi @unwantedlife, Thanks for opening a support topic. This error (The response is not a valid JSON response) is a generic WordPress error, which can appear outside of the Site Kit dashboards, please share the following and we can investigate this further:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. When checking the Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window do you see any browser console errors where this error appears? If so please share any such errors.
    3. Do you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above? Such errors may include REST endpoint references.

    Once we have this information we can provide some troubleshooting suggestions, which may include checking for third party plugin conflicts or checking for any blocks at host level.
