Can custom fields be deleted?

    I know custom fields can be deleted from individual posts, but if you’ve added a field and decide not to use it, how does it get removed from the drop-down list in the Edit post form?

    You can’t delete them through WP’s interface. You can use phpmyadmin, or execute a mysql query to delete them, if you are careful enough.
