    Hi,
I have a store with variable products – some have one set of attributes as variations, and some have two sets.
I have ‘Hide out of stock items from the catalogue’ selected.
The products with one set of variations behave as expected (out of stock products do not show in the catalogue). However, the products with two sets of variations display all of the out of stock variations.
I’ve tried all the normal things – everything is up to date. I’ve run a database clean-up. checked for plug-in conflicts. disabled custom code etc. switched to storefront theme. no luck
any help very much appreciated on how to resolve this. tia!

    Hello @uprisingchch,

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

Just to make sure I understand the problem correctly, in the variant product the whole product is out of stock.

I assume you’ve not added a price for each of the variants and instead just using the price of the parent product.

Please update the price of each variant and make sure the stock is managed individually for each one of them.

    Hi, Thanks for the reply.
Sorry I should have said – I have already added prices for each variant, at the variation level, as well as ticked ‘manage stock’ and added stock levels for each variation.
“in the variant product the whole product is out of stock.” Sorry I’m not exactly sure what you mean by this. This is an example of a variable product in my store which has some variations in stock and some out of stock: https://climbingholds.net/product/hylian-ply/
But all of the variation options are displaying in the dropdown menus, not just the ones that are in stock. For example, all Red variations of that product have prices set and stock quantity set to 0, yet Red displays as an option, unlike in this product: https://climbingholds.net/product/osiris-ply/ which also has no Red variations in stock, and as expected, does not display Red as an option in the dropdown menu.

Hi there @uprisingchch, and thank you for clarifying further on this.

Upon investigating, it appears there is a similar GitHub issue recently reported.

Could you go ahead with trying to reproduce it, as showcased here, please, and let us know how that goes?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Hello @darshanprakash,

I understand you have the same problem but we need to handle each request individually in forums.

Please open your own thread and make sure to include as much information as you can.

    Thank you!

Re-opening this thread as it is unresolved.

The Github thread suggests it might have taken the dev team a couple days to address, but 5 months later this bug still persists.

I may have a slightly different issue however as I am managing stock at the variation level within my variable products.

Is there any more information I can provide that will help?

    Hi @uprisingchch

I am sorry to hear that the issue is still left unresolved.

Checking the bug report, I can see that the status is still open, hence, there are no resolutions yet.

I would suggest subscribing to the thread to keep posted for updates.

    Thanks!
