    Lol.. ok.. i just noticed something i went to a friends blog and every post he has has like

    https://www.domain.com/category/post.html

    he has a html ending

    not like the gobbly gook wordpress uses.. whys that?

    can we have html ending too? im sure the engines would like that better\
    by the way he uses movable type

    This is entirely possible with WP, you may want to investigate the options on the Permalinks page.

    Google doesn’t care how a link ends. Since you’re concerned, you should setup permalinks.

    If you’re trying to fool everyone into believing you’re using straight HTML files on your site, then yes.

    There’s more of an advantage to ‘pretty’ permalinks: not just Google can remember them!! Real people can remember how to get to a post!

    So many times I’ve found an excellent resource – once… then never again! There are other ways of remembering where things are online (blogs, bookmarks, etc) but I wasn’t home at the time and didn’t want my school’s network admin getting hold of my WP password! Go pretty URLs!!
