Multiple Variation Sync Issue

    Reading the other support requests and Square’s documentation, it seems that Square is not interested in resolving the failure of syncing products if they have multiple variations.

    Are the developers at Square not able to concatenate the fields into one attribute automatically to make it work with Square syncing…or just support more than one variation?

    This seems to be extremely silly from a retail woocommerce store perspective? Especially for one that sells different coloured clothing and sizes.

    Square documentation states to create them together when you add the items to your store, ie….black-small to create a single variation, rather than Colour and then Size like a regular store.

    I am sure this use to work before – as the store has old information there from the last trade event we attended before covid lockdowns.

    But now I am not sure if we can use Square for the business/trade event as I cant get products to sync.

    I understand that you are unable to sync your product variations to Square, is that correct?

    Can you please share with us a clear screenshot of what you see on your end so that we could address you more effectively? If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Furthermore, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

    You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    Its the same issue as all the other tickets – you cant do more than 1 attribute.
    It syncs 65 products with one attribute and finishes syncing, but missing the other 100+ products that also have variations because of two attributes.

    From what I gather, a sync issue appears when trying to sync products with multiple variations to Square.

    Initially Square was stuck syncing when re-activated – disconnected and reconnected to square and it only synnced 60 odd products

    Then started investigating, saw all the support questions here and led me to the snippet you posted

    Why can’t I sync products with multiple attributes?
    Unlike WooCommerce, Square does not support multiple attributes. If you would like to sync multiple attributes from WooCommerce to Square, consider combining attributes into one product variation – for example, instead of a “color” attribute and a “size” attribute (e.g. black or blue and small or large), combine the two in your product variations (e.g. black-small, black-large, blue-small, blue-large).

    This isnt generally how stores are configured – can you imagine how large a store’s website/scrolling would be if every single variation, especially when they go up to 3 variations even, would become?

    Why can a Developer for square, just concatenate the attributes into a single onoe – I had to do that and uploaded the file manually, pretty simple…it cant be that hard to do the same with the square service directly….so I dont have to do it manually.

    Hi,

    I can understand your point, at this time, Square does not syn product with more than 1 attribute.

    There is a feature request related to this, you can check it here, I understand this is not what you are looking for, but you can vote for this feature, that way the developers may consider implementing it.
