WordPress Website Different From Editor Beta Site

  • Hello,

    I have been making edits on Editor Beta and saving the edits, however when I go to visit site on my dashboard or go to the url, the website is an older version of my edits. It seems that the edits I am making on Editor Beta are not updating on the published site.
    Please help. Thank you.

    When you say ‘Editor Beta’, I assume you are using a block theme and have gone into the Site Editor (Editor Beta) to manage your templates and template parts? Remember, templates are for adding site structure, such as headers and footers. You add content to your pages and posts.

    Secondly, have you assigned the page to the template you modified? For example, you will add all your content to the home page in the Block Editor, and you will modify the template (header + footer) that the home page is assigned to in the Site Editor.

    You can assign a different template to a page in the Sidebar Settings.

    I hope I have understood your question correctly.

    Hi Wes,

    Thank you for your response! Yes, I am using a template. I think what happened is that I was trying to clear pages from the template, and then that is when the issue came up. I think I need to assign the page to the template.

    What would be the steps to do this on the Block Editor?

    If you open the post or page, go to your sidebar settings and change the template to which the page is assigned to. You can even create a custom template. Please see the screenshot: https://cloudup.com/ca_q615jgn9
