Lately I discovered problems with my featured images in a post.

    Example:

When I upload an image to put in a post as a featured image, WordPress automatically makes 8 size versions:
    100×50
    150X150
    1536X864
    1920X1080
    256X180
    300X169
    768X432
    940X446

After uploading I add it as a featured image to my WordPress post and WordPress automatically makes a 9th version: 450×222 pixels. And this version is used in my post. But it is displayed in a 770×380 size.

The result is a very fuzzy image, because the image is displayed bigger that it is.

    How can I change that?

  • Hi @marcelgremme, are you using any Image Optimization plugins? I have followed the link you shared, but the image at the top of the article does not really appear fuzzy to me. Here is a screenshot from my end: https://cloudup.com/cU-l0AnvPVP. I assume you want to image to be displayed more crisply?

A good starting point for your WordPress featured image size is 1200 x 628 pixels. Have the fuzzy images you are referring to ever been lower when you uploaded them?

That’s correct, the problem is already solved.

We have changed one setting in customizers blog settings and the problem was solved.

The blog setting must be set to Full Width.

    Thank you for responding.

    Great to hear! Keep well

For the record: I mean the blog settings in the customizer.
Go to Customizer, then go to Blog and then set the blog lauyout to full width.
