Security issue? Can’t access wp-admin on wifi
-
I’m baffled. My web host is baffled. My ISP is baffled. MY IT husband is baffled. Looking for any help here at all.
Yesterday, I used FileZilla to FTP into my site and delete a plugin file that, for some reason, was not removed from my site when I deleted it from the dashboard. (And it was causing performance issues).
Just after that, I was able to see the front-end of my site (https://allthingsfadra) but receive the dreaded error 500 when trying to access the Admin dashboard.
Things to know:
– This only occurs when using the network in my house (wifi)
– It is accessible by anyone (including my web host) NOT on my wifi
– I can access it from my phone when I’m using cellularHost says it’s not a security issue on his end. If it was it would block me from the entire site, not just the admin page. And the block would have expired by now.
Xfinity (my network) says they don’t see any security blocks or issues on their end and they’re baffled as well that it’s just the admin page and not the whole site. Regardless, I did fill out a form for them to remove any possible security blocks *just in case*
I’m at a complete loss and so is everyone I’ve roped into this. Any random suggestions will be considered!
