I upgraded from 6.0 to 6.0.2 and now Elementor’s editor won’t load. The page will load, but you are unable to edit anything. Once I disable both the base and Pro all works again.

I forget to include that it is all pages that are affected and not only the page where I have the calendar.

Same issue here ! The page loads but Elementor Editor not load. When I deactivate TEC plugin, it works again.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing more details here, we appreciate it. I’d recommend rolling back to the last working version of the plugin. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/accessing-older-plugin-versions/#Installing_past_plugin_versions

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and new updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Rest assured that I’d get back to this thread whenever there are updates.

    Hang in there.

I think the suggestion of using a staging server is a very poor recommendation considering most of the audience are small businesses with small budgets that are using a single server and not very IT knowledgeable developer. This is probably why most people use WP because a lot of they heavy lifting is already done by the vendors with minimal cost.

WP offers the ability to auto-update plugins which is pointless if vendors are not going to put out fully tested updates. I understand there are hundreds of plugins and it is unfair to believe you will be able to test against them all, but you can and should test against the top 3 designing tools like Elementor.

My comments come from some expertise in this. I was a Software Engineer for 18 years at a Fortune 100 company. I was responsible for designing enterprise size apps and we had 4 servers per app: Design, QA, Production, Failover. We used realtime replication, daily backups with a full one every week and we never were less than 2 minor version back or 1 major version. I would love to have the same setup for my small business website, but the rewards vs risk vs cost makes it prohibited.

I hope to see a solution soon. For anyone that is thinking of rolling back, be careful, that solution may not work for you. For us… doing so erased all our tickets and suddenly none of our events could be purchased. We had a backup and had to restore to recover from that mess and back to not being able to use Elementor.

Hi everyone, apologies for the delay here, I’m back now. There are no updates yet in regard to this, but I’d definitely follow up on this.

I do understand the frustration of having a different setup for testing. We highly recommend setting up a staging site to test updates safely (not just for our plugins, but in general in the WordPress ecosystem). An increasing number of hosting companies make that super easy and it’s totally worth it. We also advise and recommend having a working backup of your website.

I’d notify everyone, as soon as I hear from the team.
    Thanks for your patience.

    Best,
    Abz
