How to display main menu at the top and submenu in sidebar

Hello,

I have a menu with 5 optino I call them menu1 , menu2 etc..

then the menu1 will have submenu

menu11 – menu12 etc..

The menu2 will have the same
menu21 – menu21

My menu menu will be horizontal menu or just images links at the header

How to display 1 of my 5 submenu on my sidebar

if I click on option 1 I want submenu 1 if I click option 2 I want submenu2

Any suggestion or ideas.

I can create 1 main menu and 5 submenu but now how to display them correctly?
