When checking out, are you adding the same exact zip code and other details that are in this screenshot?

Please note that the tax will be calculated only when you fill in these fields, also the screenshot you sent is not for your tax settings. Your tax settings should be in WooCommerce > Settings > Tax.

Can you please temporarily switch your theme to Storefront, and disable the plugin Show Tax for WooCommerce: by wooenvio – 1.0.1, does this makes a difference?

I’m not using storefront, I’m using ‘landscaper’ and have disabled that plugin and no joy.

Can you please try switching to the StoreFront theme?

If you’re not comfortable doing this on the live site, you can install this plugin to create a staging environment and switch the theme to the duplicated environment.

Hi, I had tried that too. deactivated all the plugins, activated storefront with just woo running and the same issue persists.

I’d like to loop back to the original inquiry:

Hi, I’m setting up a shop for a client who needs the Irish tax rate to display at the checkout. I have enabled tax, set the class to 23%, set up a bunch of ‘taxable’ products and have just the one tax rate at the moment, but on the checkout page it displays as VAT €0.00

Setting up taxes is not always that straightforward; I can relate. Reading through this thread I understand you tried a few alternatives already.

I’d suggest going ahead with WooCommerce Tax, for setting-up the taxes at your store. Ireland is among the supported countries.

Side note: it is best to try with a default theme, like Storefront, and WooCommerce + WooCommerce Tax activated only.

Forgive me, the recommendation was for the same plugin.

Meanwhile, I went ahead with checking on a test site of mine, with the Storefront theme active, and only WooCommerce and WooCommerce Shipping & Tax activated.

It worked fine for Ireland, as far as I can tell.

Could you go ahead with testing against a combination of tools known to work well together, like we are suggesting, and let us know if the issue persists?

Can you double-check the address that is being added on the tab of the WooCommerce settings?

There are sometimes when the address has a typo error; it won’t calculate taxes as it won’t find the address.
