    Hello,
in Google search console I have plenty of urls ?wordfence. Pages of referral for these urls are existing pages in the website.
What are they and why Google search console finds them?
Can you tell me how remove them, or avoid to be found?

Hi @marcie73, thanks for getting in touch.

These URLs sometimes show in Google search results when an automatic redirect to a search/home page when a 404 is hit on your site. This can be down to a misconfigured theme, or a redirect plugin. However, I’ve visited your site and hit an invalid URL (404) along with a simulated Wordfence URL as seen in your screenshot and both behave correctly.

When one of the wordfence_lh URLs is followed, the page should be totally blank in the browser – which it is in your case.

The ones you are seeing are likely from Google remembering old URLs and trying them again to update their index. Google should recognize over time that those pages with no content are not useful to crawl.

We used to recommend adding wordfence_lh and hid to the list of parameters that Google can ignore, but it looks like that feature has been removed from Google Search Console: https://searchengineland.com/google-search-consoles-url-parameter-tool-is-officially-not-working-383828

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hello wfpeter,
Yesterday I actually found some errors in redirects which I fixed.
I’m waiting now for new validation from Google, so let’s see if this happen again!
Thank you for your help! ??
