    It shows free shipping even though I have the weight entered on the product.

    Plugin will show the shipping method that will be available when the product is added in the cart

    and when we added your this product to the cart and went to your checkout page It had free shipping https://imgur.com/a/aUjmJc2

    so the plugin is showing free shipping on this product

    this plugin will show the shipping method that is configured in WooCommerce

    how to charge a shipping cost for product that is not handled by this plugin

    you can configure a shipping cost from WooCoommerce > settings > Shipping there you have shipping zone and inside each zone there is shipping method inside shipping method you configure shipping cost

    this plugin will show the available shipping method and its associated cost

    in your case since the Free shipping is available it is showing free shipping

    how do I configure it so the user types in their zip code and it calculates the shipping based on the weight?

    It can’t do that, you have to configure the shipping method and its cost in woocommerce

    and this plugin will take in the address from the user and asper that address it will show the shipping method that you will set in woocommerce

    the cost of the shipping method is not handled by this plugin

    i don’t understand. if the shipping is not based on the shipping address than how is this accurate?

    this plugin do not create shipping cost and shipping method

    that you have to configure in your woocommerce setting or using some 3rd party plugin

    In normal case user can see shipping cost and shipping method on the checkout page

    so this plugin solves that issue and user can see the shipping cost and shipping method right on the product page

    so what even shipping method can be seen on your checkout page that can be seen on the product page with this plugin (this plugin does not create shipping cost and method )

    woocommerce has inbuilds shipping method option apart from that there are multiple 3rd party shipping method out there that you can use
